Why This Project Is Important 

Dungeons & Dragons is a game of imagination and social skills, and in recent years it has seen a growing number of new fans. This project aims to give them a place to play this beloved game in a rich 3D world with intuitive tools and connectivity to other services such as D&D Beyond.

Project Description 

This project aims to create a 3D environment to allow players to play Dungeons & Dragons without constraints, it intends to: - Create a walk-able environment based on 3D scanned high detail dioramas - Develop a set of tools for Dungeon Masters to use to guide their stories - Integrate Wizard's of the Coast's D&D Beyond character sheets and rule-books - Create a user interface for players as well as a audio / video conferencing capabilities When complete, this project will produce a "game" that can be purchased on Steam or other gaming platforms and will be free. Included in it will be tools for rolling dice, saving throws, a creature index, and integration with D&D Beyond rules and character sheets. Purchasable will be map packs, dioramas that have been 3D scanned into a walkable environment as well as figurines that can be used by characters.
