Why This Project Is Important

Blizzard Baja, Clean Snowmobile ChallengeFormula SAE, and Supermileage Systems are the four Michigan Tech Enterprise teams that operate as Advanced Motorsports (AMS). These four teams have a combined 150+ student members. Every year, our AMS teams travel thousands of miles to participate in collegiate design competitions across the country. When traveling to competitions with the AMS trucks and trailers, we are representing Michigan Tech. It is important to have equipment that is safe, functional, reliably maintained, shows our professionalism and competition, and displays our school pride while on the road. These vehicles are expensive to maintain and often require functional upgrades to best suit the teams' needs.

Project Description

Currently, the two trucks and enclosed trailers have room for improvements in function and safety. After several years of wear and tear, the trailer non-slip floor covering needs replacement. Other identified areas for improvement include corrosion and leak repair on the older pickup truck, trailer imaging/wrap replacements, lighting, maintenance, and safety inspections. Your contributions will help alleviate the teams' budgets so they can continue to build high performing competitive vehicles. There are four campaigns listed, each team is competing for additional match funds for their team as a reward for the highest amount raised. This campaign is for the Formula SAE team.
